Context:
A multi-billion Rand manufacturing company.
Problem Statement:
Stock levels were difficult to manage, which is essential for healthy cash flow, while maintaining compliance to SLA's and customer satisfaction.
Solution:
The solution comprised of tools such as ODI, SQL Server and Power BI, integrating into SAP ERP to retrieve data such as purchase orders, sales, stock movements and bill of materials, this gave us the information we needed to run projections into the future to determine when stock will run out, and by how much, ultimately giving the Chief Procurement Officer a daily Power BI report with visibility into future bottlenecks.
